There are several existing known markers that are not legible at the Glebe Burying Ground. It's one of the oldest cemeteries in Augusta County, VA. If you can volunteer any data on the markers in these photos, please advise. They may already be listed on Findagrave, but not identified.

July 2012 Photo kindly taken and contributed by Debbie McLaughlin for me to post here. This cemetery is on private property, run over by roaming cows, that have done so much damage to the markers.

This stone is beside at least THREE McCutchan markers, Isabella Patrick McCutchan is laying broken in front of this one, her husband Corp. R. John McCutchan is standing beside the tree on the right and Susannah Bolar McCutchan's is behind Corp. R. John's. His foot stone is also in gray, in the foreground (same shape as headstone). I SUSPECT this marker is CHARLES McCUTCHAN's. See Susanna Bolar McCutchan's site bio about Chalkley's 1902 Glebe grave order. Click on Charles name here to take you to his site: Charles McCutchan
