James Brickey's wife was Synitha Brickey, born 1801, in KY. She died in 1906. She was full blood Cherokee Indian.
They came to AR with the movement of the Cherokee group and stayed around in the vicinity of the Brickey place. The cemetery was established during this period of time.
I remember my daddy going to help dig a grave there for a man by the name of Eades. There were nineteen graves unmarked. My cousin, Vivian Lay, and I used to go there and place flowers on the graves we were children, about 1915.
As far as I know there have been no burials there for the past thirty-five years. The cemetery is overgrown in trees and would be difficult to locate."
