Samuel Goldsmith Fletcher was the son of Solomon and Ellen Fletcher. He was married twice. His first wife was Lenis Ann Singleton who died in 1907 and is buried next to S.G. His second wife was Sallie B. Campbell(maiden)Tichenor. They were only married two years before S.G. passed away. Samuel and Sallie are found on the 1910 Rockwall County Census in Distr. #177. He served as a Petit Juror on Nov 26, 1894 for Rockwall County District Court. He is mentioned several times in the "History of Rockwall County, by O.L. Steger". He was also a member of Hope Baptist Church of Rockwall at it's formation.
Although he left Rockwall in the early 1880's for Burnet County he returned to his home town and remained until his death.
