Rickert Rites will be held on Wednesday
Funeral services for George Rickart of 602 Des Moines Street, will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Pearson Funeral home. Burial will be made in Oakland cemetery.
Mr. Rickert, 61, had been in failing health for several years, and had been seriously ill for the past six weeks. His death occurred at St. Joseph hospital on Monday morning at 7:30 o'clock.
A son of John and Mary Lutz Rickert, he was born on April 17, 1883, at Hamilton, Ill., where he resided until eight years ago when he moved to Keokuk. Since that time he has lived at 602 Des Moines street.
He was first united in marriage in 1902 to Miss Lillie Carter of Hamilton, who preceded him in death about 35 years ago. A daughter, Mrs. Lora Peterson, was born to this union. He was married on Nov. 1, 1912 to Blanch Rockefeller of Keokuk, who survives.
Also surviving beside his widow and daughter, are two granddaughters, Mary Gene and Joanne Scott; two brothers, Frank and Joe Rickert, both of Hamilton; and four sisters, Mrs. Lena Jackson, Mrs. Tillie Crosby and Mrs. Lottie Phipps all of Hamilton, and Mrs. Gertrude Newman of Galesburg, Ill.
