Alma Virginia Barrett
Alma Virginia Barrett, 91, of 141 Panorama View Road in Stanley, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.
Mrs. Barrett was born Sept. 9, 1916, in Alma, and was a daughter of the late Herman Lee Dofflemoyer and Minnie Catherine Good Dofflemoyer.
She retired from American AV-ISCO as a textile worker, where she worked for 18 years.
She lived in Stanley most of her life and lived in Front Royal for 20 years.
She was an avid gardener until the age of 90 and had been a member of various bowling leagues.
On June 27, 1936, she married Richard James Barrett, who preceded her in death July 27, 1992.
She is survived by a son, Captain James Henry Barrett U.S. Navy (Ret.) of Annapolis, Md.
Evangelist Earl E. Painter conducted the funeral Saturday, Dec. 29, at Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, where visitation was also held.
Burial was at Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
