Helenamae D. Baugh
Helenamae Dougherty Baugh, 78, a resident of Harrisonburg, died Dec. 29, 2007, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. She had been ill for the last six weeks.
She was born July 15, 1929, in Grafton, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late John M. and Velma Eyler Dougherty.
Mrs. Baugh moved from Tucson, Ariz. to Harrisonburg in 1988. She graduated from St. Augustine Catholic School in Grafton, W.Va. and had been employed with the U.S. Government for 10 years and Crestar Bank for three years. She retired in 1992. She was also a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harrisonburg.
On Sept. 3, 1950, she married Howard R. Baugh, who survives.
She is also survived by four children, Linda C. Yahnke and husband, David, of Leesburg, Gail Cunningham and husband, Terry, of Harrisonburg, Donna Lane and husband, Scott, of Penn Laird, Susan Baugh of Herndon; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Jerry Vogel, and one brother, Robert Dougherty, both of Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 7:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at the Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Tom Mattingly officiating. Burial will be in Woodsdale Memorial Park in Grafton, W.Va. on Thursday, Jan. 3, at 1:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
