Mrs Ida Brown
CALDWELL — Mrs. Ida Whritenour Brown, 82, of 181 Hollywood Ave., died yesterday in her home after a long illness.
Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Brown resided in Caldwell seven years.
Prior to that she lived in West Orange for 37 years.
She was a member of the Ladles Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive engineers of the Erie Railroad Company.
She was the widow of William J. Brown.
Services will be held tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the Weatherhead Funeral Home, 128 Main St.. Orange. The Rev. Dr. Francis T. Cooke, pastor of the Highland Ave. Congregational Church of Orange, will officiate.
Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Orange on Wednesday.
Friends may call 5 to 10 p.m. today and noon to 10 a.m. tomorrow.
Surviving are three sons, Raymond J. of Bath, N.Y., William H. of Little Falls, and Edward J. of West Orange; two daughters, Mrs. George Poppa and Mrs. William Sperry, both of Caldwell; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
