Son of Frederick Brown and Rachel Robinson. Married 1st, Rachel Carothers with 2 children born to them, Allen Harvey and Joel. Married 2nd Julia Ann Massey with 7 children born to them, Frederick, James Edward, Minnie, Samuel, Lillie Mae, Julia Ann and Pearl. James Allen had family living in Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas. From family stories, I know the Brown family traveled back and forth from Dardanelle and Delaware, Arkansas to Summerfield, Le Flore County, Oklahoma between 1900 and 1940 visiting each other with stops along the way to visit other relatives. I have pictures of their home in Le Flore. I assume James was visiting his Robinson family in Fort Smith when he died.
