In the year 1829, on the 18th of the month of May at 1:00 pm in the afternoon appeared before us, Nikolaus Müller, the mayor of Bliesmengen, administrative district Blieskastel, court district Zweibrücken: Peter Bischof, farmer, 45 years old, resident in Bliesmengen, who declared that his wife Catharina Waldbaum, without occupation, 30 years old, resident in Bliesmengen, also in the same residence as the declarant, the day before yesterday in the morning at 11 o'clock, the 16th of this month of the current year, delivered a child of the male gender, which child the declarant conceived, and stated he [the father] wanted to give him [the child] the name Franz.

This declaration happened in the presence of Andreas Dièr, farmer, 23 years old, resident in Bliesmengen, and Jacob Fromm, farmer, 38 years old, likewise resident in Bliesmengen, whereupon the declarant and the witnesses signed the present birth record with us [the mayor], after having read the same to them, at Bliesmengen, year and day as above.
