Graveside services for Mrs. Gertrude Albert, 87, of Washington, D.C., were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, at the Reinbeck, Ia. cemetery.
She was born Feb. 5, 1885 and died Jan. 30, 1972. Her parents were Thomas and Mary Pugh Gittins of Williamsburg. She was a graduate of Iowa university and was married to Dr. Fred Albert in 1909 and lived at Mason City and Minneapolis. In 1922 she became a teacher at Central high school in Washington D.C. where she taught until her retirement in 1956. She is survived by one daughter; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Jones of Williamsburg and Mrs. Jane Evans of Minneapolis, Minn. Also surviving are three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
