BUDD ALLEN, beloved son, husband, father and grandfather was a lover of his family, sports cars, and golfing with his wife Barbara. He died early Wednesday morning, November 3rd before the sun rose in Oklahoma City, OK.
Born in Detroit, MI, he moved with his parents to Houston in 1941 and attended San Jacinto High School, later receiving a Masters in Business from University of Houston. Budd then moved to Freeport, TX to teach English and French at a local school.
In 1968, he married his beloved Barbara (Bobbie) Smith who was his wife of 43 years, until his death this week. He worked for 35 years in the family business at Big 3 Industries, which was started by his grandfather, Benjamin K Smith. Budd and Barbara retired in Sun Lake, Arizona and recently moved to Oklahoma City, OK.
Budd is survived by his wife Barbara Smith Allen of Oklahoma City, his mother Faye Allen Tucker and his sister, Helene Allen Atlas, both of Houston, TX, his son Randy Smith, of Oklahoma City, his daughter Liz Spicker of Vail, Arizona, his children Jeffrey and Shelly Greenman both of Houston, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Allen, and his son, Greg Smith.
