Jean Ruby Anderson born on October 10, 1928 departed this life January 30, 2013 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Anderson, Jr. and Margaret Anderson and cousins, Donald W. Johnson and Mildred Shelton. She was a member of Jackson Street United Methodist Church where she was a devoted worker. Jean graduated from Dunbar High School, class of 1946 and retired from GE. She is survived by a brother, Bobby Anderson of Washington, DC; a half brother, James Anderson, III (Sherranne) and their daughter, Tayma of Lynchburg; two half sisters, Mary Freeman of Ohio and Adrienne Anderson of New York; devoted cousins, Frances Brown of Lynchburg and Charles Brown, Jr. (Debra) of Maryland; Goddaughter, Diane Saunders of Maryland and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held 2pm, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Community Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Butler, eulogist. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home.
