Anthony Cota was a great man as many who met him know. "His smile not only touched our family but also many others. He is missed by everyone that he came in contact with. But most of all he is missed by myself and his family. Everyday we continue to grieve the loss of my big brother but we are staying strong as a family and will continue to honor my brother's memory.
Again thank you to everyone for their kind words. Anthony was loved by so many people and rest assured he loved everyone in return. Rest my brother. I will see you again in heaven. I will bring my mitt so we can play catch, you on the mound and me behind the plate. I love you Anthony."

Written in memory of Anthony by his brother Philip Cota

A personal note from myself. I met Anthony in May of 2004. We met under very sad circumstances as I had just lost my son suddenly at age 23. When I met Anthony I saw a man of compassion and dignity. My heart was so broken, Anthony carried me through this process in my early stages of grief. It was nearly 2 months that we spoke on the phone after my son died. I needed to talk and he never turned his back on me, never rushed me, always made me feel he cared. Anthony performed his job with the utmost respect. A young man his family must be very proud of.
Anthony may you rest in peace in heaven.
God Bless you Anthony and your family.
