Services for Hobart Autterson, 3238 North Eleventh street, retired labor leader active for many years locally and in State labor affairs, are scheduled for 10 am Wednesday at the Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. William Saunders officiating. Friends may call after 7 pm Monday. Burial will be in Tecumseh cemetery.
The 60 year old Autterson died Saturday night at St. Anthony Hospital. He is survived by his wife Beelse; daughter, Miss. Faily Autterson, at home; a son, Tom, of Lawrenceburg, and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Pavey of Terre Haute.
At the time of his retirement about a year and a half ago he was working in Indianapolis with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and as an organises and business agent for the union at Columbus, Ind.
He had served a little more then two terms as secretary-treasurer of the Indiana State Federation of Labor during the fifties, following appointment to fill a vacancy.
During Governor Henry F. Schricker's second term, Autterson served as a conciliator under the Commissioner of Labor.
He also had been associated with Meat Cutters Local No. 398 and Distillery Workers Local No. 14
His church affiliation was with the Frist Assemby of God Church of which he was secretary-treasurer.
