Maxine was a sweet lady who I used to go to church with. She was always very friendly and kind. She was active with the seniors group at the church and worked cleaning the church as well as the pastors' home. The church never looked better than when she worked there.

Thelma Maxine Burnett-Marcum, age 72 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Monday, August 27, 2007 at 6:30am. She was born on March 15, 1935 in North Vernon, Indiana, the daughter of Clifford E. and Helen (Yeager) Little. Maxine was a member of Hamilton Christian Center. On August 11, 1953 in North Vernon, Indiana she married Ted Burnett and he preceded her in death in 1992; on December 1, 2003 in Connersville, Indiana she married Gene Marcum.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Marcum; a son, Gregory (Randi) Burnett; two grandsons, Christopher Andrew Burnett and John Daniel Burnett, all of Hamilton; a brother, Clifford Little Jr. of West Port, Indiana; two sisters, Bonnie Phillips and Sharon Woodson, both of North Vernon, Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford E. Little and Helen Reed; and a brother, John Henry Little.
