Stanley Archer was born to Joseph B. Archer and Ramona McDonald Archer in Prairie Hill, in 1947. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1966, and attended East Texas State University. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1968-1971 during the Viet Nam War. He married Maria Estela Garcia on July 22, 1972, in Laredo. He worked as a Safety Coordinator and Trainer in Oil Field Services at Weatherford. He retired from BJ Services in 2005. He was a member of Cypress Valley Bible Church and a hunting club.
He is survived by his wife, Maria (Mary) Archer of Marshall; his daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie Archer Rowan and husband David of Henderson, Veronica Archer Miller and husband Joshua of Burleson; and his granddaughter, Samara Miller of Burleson. Also surviving
are his mother, Ramona Archer; sister, Beverly Archer Phillips and brother-in-law Myer Phillips; his niece, Janelle Parker and husband Jimmy, and their children Jameson Parker, Jordan and Zach Vick; his sister, Toni Archer Kirkpatrick and brother-in-law Kirk Kirkpatrick; and nephews, Cole and Jacob Kirkpatrick. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph B. Archer.
