Franklin A. Adams jr., 45, 2218 Melrose Lane, an insurance firm operator, died Tuesday at Veterans' hospital, Topeka, where he had been a patient since April 15.
Mr. Adams apparently suffered a heart attack about 3 am and died shortly thereafter.
Mr. Adams had lived most of his life in Salina, joining his late father in the insurance business after graduation from Kansas State university in 1948. He was a veteran of World War 2 and earned a Bronze Star during service in Germany. Since the death of his father in 1963, he has operated the Franklin A. Adams and Son insurance agency here.
He was a member of Christ Cathedral, the Episcopal Vestry, SAE fraternity, the Salina Public Library board, which he had served as chairman, and the Salina Insurance board.
Surviving are the widow, Katrina S., 3 daughters, twins Mary Emily and Elizabeth Ann, and Catherine Jane, all of the home, his mother, Mrs. Franklin Adams sr., 127 Overhill Road, and a brother, George, Tulsa, Okla.
The funeral will be at 10 am Thursday at Christ Cathedral, the Very Rev. Frederic W. Litchman officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Pathfinder House, Salina.
