Herkimer -- Mrs. Nettie Ackles, 94, formerly of Syracuse, died yesterday in Folts Home, Herkimer. She was born in Baldwinsville and was married to Irving Ackles in 1890. He died in 1935. She had been a resident of Folts Home since Feb. 1958. She was a member of Cardiff Methodist Church. She leaves a son, Marshall, of Nedrow. The funeral will be at 10 tomorrow from the Wakeman Chapel, Folts Home, with the Rev. Lester W. Wakeman, home superintendent, officiating. Burial will be in Tully Cemetery. (Utica Daily Press, Thurs. 12 Aug. 1965)
