Shirley Armstrong, 77

Shirley Anne Armstrong, 77, of Winchester, formerly of

Washington, Pa., died Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at Randolph Nursing Home, Winchester. She had been ill since February.

She was born August 10, 1930 in Lone Cedar, W. Va., to Peter and Vern Davis Mills. She worked in the admitting office of The Washington Hospital for 14 years. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. On October 9, 1951 she married Rowland "Bones" Armstrong who died August 25, 1977.

Survivors include two sons, William (Roseann) Armstrong of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jeffrey Armstrong of Wash., Pennsylvania; two daughters, Patty (Ronald) DeMark of Winchester and Nancy (Paul) McMahan of Washington; six grandchildren, Chrissy and Tina Armstrong, Justina and

Jerika Armstrong, and Dee Dee and Joseph McMahan; and one great-grandchild, Michael Armstrong.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Mills.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at William G. Neal Funeral Home, Washington, Pa., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Claysville
