FARMLAND - Joy Anne Pence Acree, 50, of W. 500 N. Farmland, IN, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Friday, July 27th, 2007 peacefully at her residence.
Mrs. Pence Acree was born in Muncie, IN on September 14, 1956, the daughter of Donald and Shirley (Martin) Pence of Farmland, IN. She was a graduate of Ball State University.
She was employed as a Bar Manager at Amvet's Post 12 Muncie, IN. She was also formerly employed at Ball Hospital as a Nurses Aide and at Advantage Home care as Nurses Aide and worked with her husband in the family business "Sir Rod's Construction".
She was a member of Amvets Women's Aux. Post 12.
She was the widow of Rodney W. Acree.
She is survived by two daughters, Charity Rachelle Acree and Tylenia Elizabeth Pence of Farmland, IN; four sons, Donald Michael Lee Pence of Muncie, IN, Cody Grant Acree of Forney, TX, Rodney James Acree of North Pole, AK, Ashley Wayne Acree of Mango, IN; six grandchildren, Andrew Acree, TX, Allyssa Acree, TX, Grant Acree, TX, Kylie Bradburn, OH, Jacob Gray, IN, and Sydney Acree, IN; one great grandchild, Elise; and brothers, John, Joseph, and Patrick Pence of Hartford City, IN.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lioniel Martin Sr. and Elizabeth (Lewis) Martin; father-in-law, Rev. Joe Acree; husband, Rodney Acree; aunt, Sandra Sue Vantichelt; and uncle, Lioniel Martin Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at MJS Mortuaries Farmland Chapel, Farmland, IN with Rev. Dr. Rusty Clemens officiating.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Hopewell Cemetery Farmland, IN.
