Charles W. Coots dies, Rites Friday.
Charles Wilson Coots, 79, retired Cedar City farmer, died Wednesday morning at his home.
He had been in ill health six years. He was born Oct 15, 1883 to Mr. and Mrs. James Coots. He was a member of the Cedar City Baptist Church.
Mr. Coots is survived by his wife; six sons, Charles Wilson Coots, Jr, of Cedar City, Donald of Jefferson City, Will and Odell of Kansas City, and Russell and Cecil fo St. Louis; three daughters, Mrs. Floyd McNew of Hartsburg, Mrs. Frank Hollenbeck of Jefferson City and Mrs. Charles Johns of Kansas City; three brothers, James of New Bloomfield, Emmit F., Sr of Elston and William of Little Rock, AR; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Fletcher of Jefferson City, Mrs. Velma Ousley of Jamestown, Mrs. Myrtle Sims of Columbia, and Mrs. Nellie Smith of Marshall.
The body will lie in state at the Jefferson City Funeral HOme until Noon Friday and from the time in the Cedar City Baptist Church where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday.
The rev. Brad Case, pastor, and The Rev. Mr. Greggs will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Boone County.
