Elmer Charles Alexander Lee of Clinton died at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich on Sunday, Feb. 7. He was 78.

Born in Clinton on January 4, 1915, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mabel (Garvey) Lee. He married Phyllis Kerr on April 1, 1939.

Mr. Lee was a labourer at General Couch in Hensall.

He was a member of Ontario Strueet United Church.

Along with his wife Phyllis, Mr. Lee is survived by his children - two sons, Donald and Betty Lee of Duchess, Alberta, and Larry and Judy Lee of Clinton, and by three daughters, Norma and Dwight Porter of RR2 Goderich, Ellen and Bob Govenlock of RR1 Clinton and Beverley and Douglas McDonald of Clinton.

He is also survived by two sisters, Norma Astley of Brooks, Alberta and Verna Hamm of Sunridge, Ontario.

Mr. Lee was predeceased by one grandson.

Mr. Lee rested at the Ball chapel of the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Homes in Clinton where a funeral service was held on February 10, with Rev. David Woodall of Ontario Street United Church officiating.

The pallbearers were Kevin Essex, Bob Govenlock, Fred Hamm, David McDonald, Dwight Porter and Michael Sharp.

Interment in Clinton Cemetery.
