James Abel Dies at N.J. Memorial Home
James A. Abel, 69, World War I veteran and former Millville resident, died Sunday in the New Jersey Memorial Home, Vineland, where he resided for the past 15 years. He had been in ill health for some time.
The deceased moved to the Memorial Home from this city where he was a member of the Nabb-Leslie Post American Legion.
Surviving are his wife Esther of Philadelphia; two brothers, Joseph of Merchantville, and Charles of Collingswood, and one sister, Mrs. Ella Parker of Pitman.
A military funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from the Bakely and Corson Funeral Home, Vineland, with interment in the New Jersey Memorial Home cemetery. The Reverend Everett Crimmings, pastor of Central Baptist Church, this city, will conduct the services.

James Albert Abel and Anna M. Wills were married in Millville, N.J. on August 27, 1916. Anna was the daughter of John H Wills and Mary (Ford) Wills.
CONTRIBUTOR'S NOTE: Anna was first married to George Porch and had two sons Merritt G Porch and Leroy G Porch. I have added them as step-sons to James Albert Abel. James and Anna were divorced and Esther is listed as his wife in his obituary.
On October 18, 1924, Anna (Wills) Abel married Harry B. Sipple and had the two sons with her in her third marriage.
