Nicholas Baron dit Lupien was born in Villenauxe, Champagne, France. He was the son of Lupien Baron and Jeanne Tierson of France. Father of nine children. Husband of Marthe Chavin who he married on 16 Nov 1676 in Boucherville, Montreal, Quebec after immigrating there. He was buried 31 Oct 1697 in Lachenaie, Quebec. His sons Nicholas , Pierre, and another (great uncles), helped to found Biloxi, Mississippi. Son Nicholas traveled to New Orleans and became Attorney General and was executed. Frenchman Street in the Quarter is named after him.
