Bootsie was the first cat I had owned in 20 years. Unable to handle dogs anymore after my hip surgery, cats were a welcome substitute. She would have preferred to be an only cat, and barely tolerated the feline freinds who shared her home. She was an indoor cat only the first six years of her life, but began using the carpet as her litter box, more than likely because of the other 3 cats in the house, according to the vet. She enjoyed going outside, and it solved the problem. We found Boots one morning, dead in her little basket. She was only 10, and had never been sick in her life, so I guess it was just her time. I miss my "Everyday Girl" and I always will.
