She was the daughter of E D and Angelia Smith Sisk.

Edith first married W F 'Will' Davis on March 22, 1908 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. They had two children: Herbert Leslie Eugene Davis and Susie Edmonia Davis Bennett Buchanan (1916-1948).

She second married Libert Sutton 'TL/Tip' Clark: first time on October 22, 1914 in Madisonville, Kentucky (they divorced) and the second time October 14, 1924 in Nortonville, Kentucky.

(This was Tip's second marriage also. He first married Verla Bell Martin on December 24, 1907 in Nortonville, Kentucky and they had one child: Kester Owen Clark (1908-1975). They divorced about 1914.)

Tip and Edith's children: Edna Lee Clark Bateman Carlisle (1916-1948) and William Raymond Clark (1918-2006).

They moved to Oklahoma about 1917 (after the birth of their daughter, Edna). There Bill was born in Weleetka, Okfuskee County on July 4, 1918.

Tip and Edith divorced about 1921 in Oklahoma. Edith took Bill and Edna to Nortonvile, Kentucky. Tip took Kester to Eldorado, Illinois to an apartment.

When Tip and Edith remarried in 1924 they built a house in Eldorado.

Edith died at the home of her son, Bill, in Noblesville, Indiana at the age of 80 years 5 months and 15 days.
