He married to Thelma Jane Lubbes December 15, 1937, and they lived their adult life in Warren, Arkansas, where Max operated an automotive body shop. Born September 28, 1911 in Malden, Missouri, he was the son of the late Max Z. Anderson, Sr. and Sally Bledsoe Anderson. He was a retired body shop owner and a member of First United Methodist Church of Warren.
Survivors are his wife, Thelma Jane Lubbes Anderson; 2 sons, Zane Anderson of North Little Rock and Chet Anderson of Fort Smith; 1 daughter, Joanna Hudson of Fort Smith.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Anderson.
Other survivors are 1 brother, Baylor Anderson of Crossett; 1 sister, Jane Garrett of Monticello; and 5 grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Monday, August 9 at 2:00 p.m. in Monticello with Rev. David Steele officiating.
