Born in Krinofita, Greece. His mother was Theodora Tsolomitou, ( maiden name per marr. record for James Dacolias 1917 in Manchester, N. H.) per familysearch

Theodora was still living in 1938. His father was Georgios and died before 1938. The siblings, per Dacolias descendant, were-Spiridon, Aristides, Constantine or Kosta, Demetre, Hariklia, Panagiota, and Maria. His brother James had preceded him in death, killed in WW 1 in France. Burial in France. MEM # 55998305


Married to Elizabeth "Beth" Schweberger July 7, 1922, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Elizabeth was the daughter of Michael Schweberger and Elisabeth Weidner.


According to descendant, Aristos returned to Greece from America and died young, killed due to some sort of political involvement. Kosta returned to Greece also.

None of the other siblings remained in America.


The surname for brother James is INCORRRECTLY shown as DACOLES in burial records in France? James is recorded as Dacolias on all other records.


Frank immigrated to United States at age of 16 years old?,

ships manifest shows going to join brother Demtre in Atlanta, Georgia. His brother James had immigrated earlier. FRANK was found in 1910 census in Utah with William Dacolias? and is working for the R.R.

Owned Royal Shoe Shine Parlor in Salt Lake City, Utah, for last 25 years of his life.

Died as result of auto accident near Las Vegas, Nevada,

en route to friends wedding in Los Angeles, Ca. Frank was a passenger.


He was survived by wife and two children living in Salt Lake, Utah.


Per Newspaper article - Las Vegas, NV, dated October 18, 1934, the body was at the Palm Funeral home in Las Vegas, and was sent to Salt Lake City, Utah, for services October, 19, 1934.

George Apostle of Salt Lake, was the driver and other passengers were Nick Bennos who was to be married in Los Angeles, and James Chakalos. The injured were Frank Dacolias, and Apostle, who were rushed to Overton and then later taken to Las Vegas by Dr. Hardy of Overton. George Apostle suffered fractured hip and other injuries, and was reported out of danger, but Frank Dacolias never regained consciousness from the time of crash until death.

Some later descendants spell the name as DaKolias.


A Harry Dacolias, spelled as such, is shown with the address of Frank's shop in Salt Lake, on his WW 1 Draft card. Harry's father is shown as Tom Dacolias.
