She leaves four sons, Gordon Arcouette, Jr. of Grafton, Paul Arcouette of Whitinsville, Vincent Arcouette of Germany and Anthony Arcouette of Maine; three daughters, Beverly Arcouette of Charlton, Peggye Snee of Worcester and Barbara Arcouette of Worcester; her brother, Paul Grant of Los Angeles, CA; her cousin Marjorie Boober of Wilbraham, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her son, Russell, her brothers, Walter and Carl Grant and sister Peggy Peru all predeceased her.
Barbara was born in Worcester the daughter of Charles and Jessie (McCarthy) Grant. Barbara was married on July 28, 1945 to her husband of 40 years, Gordon J. Arcouette, Sr. who passed away in 1985. She was a longtime volunteer at Tri Valley and enjoyed painting, drawing, sewing, quilting and reading.
Barbara's funeral will be held on Saturday, October 1 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. George's Church, 38 Brattle St. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held from 8:30 until 9:30 on Saturday at the funeral home.
