Services for the Rev. William J. "Jake" Brady, 71, 2314 Arlington, will be 3 p.m. Saturday in College Heights Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. The rites will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Tatum and the Rev. Lee Eldred, and burial will be in East Hill Cemetery, Roff.

The Rev. Brady died today at his home.

He was born, June 27, 1905, in Drake, Okla., to Samual Bryant and Ella Runyan Brady, and came to the area in 1905. He married Minnie Ola Prewett here July 31, 1925.

The Rev. Brady was a retired minister of the Missionary Baptist Church and was very active in church affairs. He had been minister of many Missionary Baptist Churches in Southeast Oklahoma.

He was also a member of the College Heights Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie, of the home; four daughters, Minnie June Griffin, Fittstown, Faye Littlepage, Joyce Summers and Mary Ellen Hooser, all of Ada; three sons, Harold Brady, Temple, Tex., Bill Brady, Denver, Colo., and KJenneth Brady, Ada; two brothers, Jack Riggs, Pauls Valley, and Bob Riggs, Ada; six sisters, Myrtle Sutton, Ada, Rosa Sorrels, Vernon, Tex., Zola Nelson, Lawton, Lola Puckett, Sulphur, Vinnie Bivens, Ardmore, and Millie Sutton, Pontotoc; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bearers will be Jim Elred, Forrest Hamilton, Johnie Sutherland, Donald Brooks, Earl Bryan and Claude Hewett. Honorary bearers are Don Parr, David Fortner, Bill James, Wayne Edgar and Burtis Williams.
