Charles Turpin

GRAMLING-Charles E. Turpin, 47, of Gramling, widower of Betty Ewing Turpin died unexpectedly at his home at 12:45 p.m. Friday.
District Ranger for the State Commission of Forestry; farmer and orchardist; member Gramling Methodist Church; son of the late J.W. and Fannie Leonard Turpin.
Survivors: two daughters, both of the home; sisters, Mrs. Clyde D. Crocker of Enoree, Mrs. Louise Ogle of Indian River, Fla., Mrs. O. B. Casey of Columbus, Ga., Mrs.J. E. Bakke of Spartanburg, Mrs. W. R. Culp of Inman, Mrs. W. L. Marlow of Fresno, Calif.
Service 3 today J. Floyd Mortuary, the Revs. Tom Hulroyd, Lewis Melcher and Dr. Felston Christopher; burial in Roselawn Cemetery, Inman.
Pallbearers: M. E McMillin, M. D.Camby Jr., R. C Simmons, W. H. Reames, Edgar Smith, James Thrill, J. T. Hance and W. M. Lindsey.
