Born to Lee and Lena Dentino, he married Shirley Blair in 1955. Surviving are one daughter, Laurie Dentino, of Gladdice Community, Tennessee; two sons Thomas of Meatamora, Illinois and Greg Dentino of Homestead, Florida; one brother, Robert of San Marcos, Texas; one sister, Debbie Allbritton of Peoria, Illinois; and six grandchildren.
He attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL.
He was co-founder and executive vice president of University Life Insurance Co. He also owned Aquarium Pet Shop 1 & 2 and Midstate Aquarium Wholesale Supply. He was the first known person to successfully breed the red-bellied pirana in captivity. He retired in 1995.
He played the trumpet and led the band Swing Kings. He served as president of Peoria Manual Sports Booster Club.
Cremation in Gainesboro, Tennessee was accorded by Anderson Funeral Home.

Your granddaughter, Keesha, was one of four military women and men chosen to dance with the President and Vice President tonight at the Commander-In-Chief's Inaugural Ball. Greg will be there with her. It's a big deal, huh?
