Siever E. Aasen was a pioneer of this section, coming to Coos county in 1872 and resided on a ranch on Hall's Creek ever since. He came to America in 1871 and was born in Norway May 15, 1846. In 1873 he married Marie L. Bagge at San Francisco. She was a native of Norway. Mrs. Marie Fredenburg, the only daughter, died in Sept. 1923 and a son, Signaled [sic], died in 1917. Mrs. Aasen died July 17, 1919. Twelve grandchildren. Buried in Masonic cemetery in Coquille. Mr. Aasen was a seafaring man during his life in Norway and following it one year after coming to America.
