Mrs. Bessie E. Adams, 77, a resident of Nova, died at her late residence at 2 a.m. today following a nine weeks illness.
The daughter of Levi and Loretta Adams Hanawalt, she was born Aug. 10, 1876 at Mt. Cory, O. She had been a resident of Nova the past 17 years.
She was married Nov. 29, 1894 to Kellogg P. Adams who survives her. Besides her husband she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. C. A. Byers, of Bellvue, Mrs. Buford Mahon of Worthington, Mrs. Ralph Finley of Dayton and Mrs. John Williams of Lexington; two sons, Lucien Adams of Toledo and Delno Adams of Columbus; a brother, J. H. Hanawalt of Marion; a half-brother, O. E. Hanawalt of Cleveland; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A member of the Methodist church in Novea she was also a member of the WSCS.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Nova Methodist church with the Rev. Alva Taylor officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the services. Burial will be made in the Fancher cemetery in Delaware county.
Friends may call at the Gilbert funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
