Betty Alice Barnhart, age 80, of Canton died Tuesday afternoon, surrounded by family and friends in ManorCare Health Services after an extended illness. Born in Napoli, New York to the late John and Orlene (Rarick) Yeisly. Mrs. Barnhart was a retired nurse from Visiting Nurse of Summit County and of ManorCare Health Services. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, AARP and the Alzheimer's Association. Betty was always caring and no one was ever a stranger. Preceded in death by her first husband William Picciano in 1963 and her second husband Gerald Barnhart in 1998. Survivors include 2 daughters; Mrs. Don (Pam) Fisher of Dayton and Mrs. Michael (Patricia) Manning of Canton and son and daughter-in-law William and Maureen Picciano of Louisville, 2 granddaughters and 4 grandsons. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, 9:30 AM in St. Michaels Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew J. Albright officiating. Friends may call Friday 4:00-6:00 PM in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association 100-30th St NW Canton, OH 44709.
