Our dog Brandy was Cocker Spaniel. She was a precious dog with a good temperament. She was sweet, loyal, cheerful, playful, trustworthy and easily trained.
The first time I saw Brandy she was a puppy around eight months old. She was sitting at my door when I came home from work. I gave her some water and food and set out in the neighborhood to find her home. About 45 minutes later I found out that she lived a block away from our home. I gave her back to her owner and when home. The next week I found this beautiful puppy sitting at my door again. I gave her some water and food and took her back to her home. For the next month each week when I arrived home I found her sitting at my door. She was dirty and hungry. The last time I took her home, the owner asked me if I wanted the precious puppy. Of course I said yes. I took her home, gave her a bath and something to eat. The next day I made an appointment with the vet to get her the puppy shots and medication for ear mites. Brandy lived with us for 17 years. She died in my arms Aug. 16, 2005.
Cause of death: Cancer
A Stump For A Tail
You can't buy loyalty, they say
I bought it though, the other day;
You can't buy friendship, tried and true,
Well just the same, I bought that too.
I made my bid, and on the spot
Bought love and faith and a whole lot
Of happiness, so all in all
The purchase price was pretty small.
I bought a single trusting heart,
That gave devotion from the start.
If you think these things are not
for sale, Buy a brown-eyed puppy with
a stump for a tail.
Specifically: Brandy was buried in our back yard.
