Mrs. Rebecca Dawn Dickerson Bellows, "Becky", 54 years of age, of Blacksburg, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at The University Of Virginia Medical Center after an illness. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, aunt and great-aunt, who mill be missed by her entire family! Becky was born in Christiansburg, Virginia, on January 27 ,1956 to Roscoe Darnell "Cody" Dickerson and Doris Correll Dickerson from Blacksburg, Virginia. Becky had three siblings, all brothers. Roscoe Darnell "Cody" Dickerson, Jr., Philip Roger Dickerson, Samuel Dean Dickerson. Becky grew up the in the Blacksburg School System, graduating from Blacksburg High School in 1974. She also attended 2 years at Radford University located in Radford, Virginia, Interest in Nursing. Becky later married and is survived by her loving and devoted husband, John Ervin Bellows. She also is survived by her loving mother, Doris Correll Dickerson , All three brothers, Roscoe Darnell "Cody" Dickerson, Jr., of Appomattox, Virginia, Roger and Virginia Dickerson, of Elliston, Virginia, and Sammy and Susan S. Dickerson, Of McCoy, Virginia, and her loving children, a son, Michael David "Mickey" Taylor, Jr., and Robyn M. Taylor, both of Lake Wells, Florida, and a loving daughter, Melissa Dawn Bellows Almond and Robert R. Almond, both of Christiansburg, Vigrinia. Becky is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Alexandria Taylor, Lauryn Taylor and Mara Dawn Almond, who will be with us in October of 2010. Becky is also survived by a mother-in-law, Evelyn Bellows of Hale, Michigan. Becky is also survived by seven loving nieces and nephews, Byron Hamilton Dickerson and wife, Melissa Eanes Dickerson "Missey, of Pilot, Virginia, Christopher Dickerson, of Appomattox, Virginia, Timothy Dickerson, Troy Dean Dickerson, of Colonial Hieghts, Virginia, Joey Dickerson, of Appomattox, Virginia, Samantha Jean Dickerson, and C.J. Dickerson, both of Christiansburg, Virginia. Becky is also survived by several other great nieces and nephews, one in special who considered her like a grandmother, Amanda Dawn Dickerson, daughter of Byron and Melissa Dickerson. Becky was pre-deceased by one infant brother sibling and her father, Roscoe Darnell "Cody" Dickerson and a father-in-law, John Leland Bellows. Becky was very active member in her church, The Blacksburg First Church Of God in Blacksburg, Virginia. She loved children and she always made sure her children were raised and supported in the church and church activities. Becky loved her pets as well, they were like family to her. Becky also loved life and enjoyed traveling and loved being with her family!
Funeral arrangements and the Bellows, Dickerson, Taylor, and Almond Family are in the care of McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, located in Blacksburg, Virginia. 24060.
Visitation: 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., on Wednesday Evening, August 25, 2010, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg, Virginia. 24060
Funeral: 11 A.M., on Thursday Morning, August 26, 2010, at The Blacksburg First Church Of God, with Pastor David Ansley officiating. The church is located on Roanoke Street in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Interment: To follow the funeral service in Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg, Virginia.
