Charles Matus, 82 of Frye Station, Monongahela, PA. After a lingering illness, passed away on March 26, 1970. He was the father of ten children, seven boys: Charles, Jr., John, Pete, Andy, Metro, Mike and Joseph Matus and three girls: Mary Matus Kopp, Ann Matus Riley and Helen Matus Balog. He was a retired coal miner, and a member of St. Mary's R.O. Church. Surviving are his widow Mary Lengyel Matus, to whom he was married for 59 years, the ten children, and fourteen grandchilden, and several great-grandchildren.

Note: (9/17/2012) Since Mr. Matus passed away, Ann Matus Riley is the only one of the ten children still living. A couple of the grandchildren are now deceased.
