In her youth she gave her heart to the Lord and joined the Methodist Episcopal Methodist Church, South. She was a faithful and consistent of the Conway Methodist Church.
In 1875 she was married to James Marsden Anderson of Conway. Five children blessed this union, three of whom survive: Mrs. A. B. Garren of Conway, Mrs. L. B. Thompson of Chadbourn N.C., and Mr. Marsden C. Anderson of Conway. The devotion of her children to their mother was beautiful. Mrs. Anderson was bereft of her husband twenty-four years ago leaving her alone with her young children to bring up. But the Lord was with her and graciously sustained her.
For some years previous to passing away Mrs. Anderson was in frail health, and the last eight months she was an invalid. But she bore her sufferings with Christian fortitude and her faith was in her Savior. She passed from earth to Heaven with the dying day, March 26th, 1913.
In the presence of a large number of friends and relatives the funeral services were conducted by the writer and her body was laid to rest beside her husband in the Kingston Cemetery to await the resurrection of the just.
