Viola Alexander, 92, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Services will be Saturday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel in Dallas, Texas, with Rev. W.W. Baker, officiating.
Viola was born Dec. 2, 1915, to Lucinda and Beecher Ball in Celina, Texas. She was a graduate of McKinney High School. In 1939 she married Olen Alexander, who preceded her in death. After 30+ years at Texas Instruments she retired and enjoyed traveling. Cherished memories include: daytrips to Granbury — continual jokes on the bus — Joy Club — excellent 42 partner.
A wife, devoted Mother, and close friend she leaves behind daughter, Pat Kidwell and husband Ben Wilson; her son, William Rhea Alexander and wife Janet; three grandchildren, Brittany Lynn Alexander, Kristen Rhea Alexander, John David Kidwell and wife Angela; and one great-grandchild, Alexander Bleu Kidwell. Numerous friends and acquaintances will always remember her jovial smile, her marvelous humor, and the sharp cracking wit.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Northwest Highway Dallas, Texas.
Memorials may be made to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital or to Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
