Funeral Services for Mavis Plessel, age 73, of O'Neill, will be 2:00 P.M. Monday ( Feb. 21st) at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill. Visitation will be Monday morning after 10:00 A.M. until service time. She passed away Thursday afternoon,( Feb 17th ) at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill.
She is survived by her son; Kevin Plessel of O'Neill. 3 grandchildren: Nicole Plessel of Laramie, WY., Christina King and her husband, Ryan of Red Cloud, NE., and Ryan Plessel of Omaha and 4 great grandchildren. 1 sister: Lynnette Chamberlin and her husband, Dennis of Norfolk, 1 brother: Dale Strong and his wife, Eilene of Grandbury, TX.
She was born July 23, 1937 at O'Neill to Gilbert and Mabel ( Anderson ) Strong. She graduated from O'Neill High School in 1955. She married John Plessel, Feb. 22, 1956 at the United Methodist Church in O'Neill. She enjoyed being a Mother and Homemaker. Mavis belonged to the O'Neill V.F.W. Auxiliary and Eagles Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2002, 1 brother Roger and an infant son. Rev. Leanne Masters is officiating.
