The two months old son of Mr and Mrs John Abernathy of the third ward Friday morning after a illness of several weeks. Death was due to scarlet fever which assumed an aggravated form and the best of care and medical skill proved of no avail in sustaining life in the frail young body. The parents have the sympathy of their many friends in the loss of their little one. Funeral services were held from the residences Saturday afternoon and the remains interned in the North Platte cemetery.
