According to Wenonah, Harold was the adopted son of John Abbott and Wenonah Stevens Abbott of 413 west 26th Street, Minneapolis. His father was Alfred Oldaker, born Harwich, Essex, England. His mother was Phoebe Stevens, born Wimbleton, Essex, England.
He entered the service 16 May 1917 in California. He died 5 February 1918 at Nancy, France from battle wounds.
Harold had a wife, Harriett Miller Abbott, and 6 month old child, living in Los Angeles, California, when he died.
His brother, Alwyn Abbott died a couple of days later in the War.
