Arb was my step-father. He made my mom very happy and he will be dearly missed.

Arbor Leigh Brewer, 79, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, died Sunday afternoon, May 6, 2007, after a short stay at Greendale Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Arbor was born October 23, 1927 in Forest Co., Laona, Wisconsin, the son of George and Eltha (Calhoun) Brewer.

He was a graduate of Laona High School, Class of 1945. He worked for a time in the north woods before enlisting in the US Army at the age of 18 from 1946 to 1947, stationed in New Jersey.

In 1950 Arbor was united in marriage to Madge Ward. She preceded him in death in 1984.

For many years Arbor owned and operated Brewer Metal Polishing in Sheboygan Falls. He then was employed as an inspector at Thomas Industries for twelve years, retiring in 1989.

On October 31, 1985 Arbor married Viola Nash. He was a faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church in Sheboygan Falls.

Arbor was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and archer who spent a lot of time in the great outdoors, particularly at his cottage up north. He enjoyed reading, watching the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers and loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Vi, he is survived by three children, Ellie (Doug) Menezes of Bangor, WI, Tom (Nancy) Brewer of Clintonville, WI, and Ruth (Jim) Schreiber of Mequon; three grandsons, Matthew Brewer, Nicholas Brewer, and Morgan Menezes; three step-daughters, Cindy (Don) Adam of Sheboygan Falls, Lori (Dan) Kanitz of Sheboygan, and Judy (Charles) Lindman of Deerbrook, WI; six step-grandchildren, Tyler (Heidi) Adam of Cleveland, WI, Kate Adam (fiancé Josh Robinson), Laura (Curt) Schultz, Sheryl (Thomas) Fisher all of Sheboygan, Julie (Pat) Nelson of Colorado and Eric (Julie) Lindman of Sheboygan; four step-great-grandsons; three sisters-in-law, Joyce Massey of Wyoming, Jean Toepel of Kohler, and June Martin of Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents and first wife, Madge, Arbor was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, and a step-granddaughter, Becky.

Memorial services were held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Faith United Methodist Church, Sheboygan Falls. Rev. Don Drollinger, Pastor, officiated. It was a lovely service and the church was filled.

Arbor's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Greendale Health and Rehabilitation Center, the nurses at St. Nicholas Hospice, and to Dr. Stillwell for the wonderful care given to him.

Arbor will always be remembered for his dry sense of humor and excellent memory. He will be dearly missed.

He loved his family, traveling, reading books, and feeding the birds, deer, and other animals that visited his back yard.

(A very special thank you to a very special earth angel for sponsoring Arb's memorial. I love you, Miss Rita!)
