Corcaran DeCockarahl was his AKC name, the name on his "papers", but we called him Corky.
There are not enough words of praise in the dictionary to describe Corky. He was the best dog! At about three months of age, his Mommy (Lori), took him to Puppy Kindergarten, where after a short period of time he became the "example dog." When something new was to be taught to all the puppies in the class, Corky would be the one to show them all how to do it.
Corky was the most loving dog and was totally devoted to Lori. Being a city dog, his greatest joy was going for a ride out to the countryside and running free in the fields.
He developed a skin condition, which is a sad trait in Cocker Spaniels. At the end, he barely had any fur at all. It grieved Lori terribly to have to put him down, but as an act of love for him and to end his suffering, he was released to cross the Rainbow Bridge where there is no more pain.
This wonderful companion seemed more human than canine, and will be forever missed, and never, ever forgotten.
~~A huge thank you to "wicki" for sponsoring Corky's memorial. I know that Corky thanks you too!~~
