Detective Edwin K. Bullis, DSN 4366, was commissioned as a Police Officer on 05/07/1962 and entered the St. Louis Police Academy. After graduating from the academy he was assigned to the following districts through out his career. They were the 4Th, 7Th & 8Th, 7Th, 2Nd, and finally the Bureau of Investigation for the 2Nd District Detective Bureau. During his career he was awarded 6 Chief's Letters of Commendation for outstanding police work above the call of duty. The dates on these awards were 04/01/1965, 05/01/1971, 03/01/1973, 02/01/1975, 08/22/1975, and 06/17/1977. When Detective Bullis retired on 02/07/1985, he had 22.76 years of faithful and dedicated service to the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Detective Bullis was also a veteran of the United States Navy and achieved the rank of Petty Officer 3Rd Class.
