Howard V. Albers, 81, March 22, 2006, at Kearney County Health Services Long Term Care in Minden.
Services were held at Methodist Church in Minden with the Rev. Dr. Bill Hunter officiating.

Howard Albers was born Aug. 26,1924, to John L. and Clara (Dornhoff) Albers on the family farm near Heartwell. He was an eighth-grade graduate of District 47. He farmed for Camilla Krick. On Feb. 15, 1947, he married Maxine Smith. They lived with his parents for a short time and then moved to the Bill Schaper place where they remained for 50 years until moving into Minden to retire.
He was a member of the Minden United Methodist Church.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, John and Jim, both of Minden; two daughters, Jane Kuehn of Heartwell and Karen Koch of Upland; one sister, Marie Christensen of Minden; nine grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Henry, and one sister, Mabel Johnson.
