She was a great land owner in her own right in Glendale and owned a great deal of real estate in the town of Glendale including the first movie theatre. She was considered one of the first waves of Spanish Colonial families to find their home in Arizona before Arizona became under the occupation of the United States at the time.

She was a very well respected woman and wealthy woman in the community. She owned her own home which was on of the few Victorian houses in the town. Her home boasted of very fine furniture including a baby grand piano which was very uncommon at the time. Her home was surrounded by vineyards

She married twice once to Nabor Mesa the second was to Joseph Braun a native of Germany.
