MRS. HAUPFEAR PASSES AWAY
DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME NEAR NINETY SIX YESTERDAY.
Mrs. Myrtie Lee Farmer Haupfear, wife of W. H. Haupfear, died at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home near Ninety Six. She has been in declining health for sometime, but was in discharge of her duties apparently as well as usual, when she suddenly suffered an attack and passed away in a few minutes. Her death comes as a distinct shock to her relatives and friends.
Mrs. Haupfear was a native of Pickens county, her parents being the late J. H. Haupfear and Armathine Wilkinson, both of Pickens county. She was 65 years of age the tenth of may, and had made her home in the community in which she died for the past fourty years. She was a member of the Lebanon church.
In addition to her husband, she is surrvived by one daughter, Mrs. J. T. Iusti of Cross Hill; four sons, Arthur Lee Haupfear of Greenwood; J. O. Haupfear of Clinton; N. W. Haupfear; and Roy G Haupfear of Ninety Six; one sister, Mrs. L. A. Land of Clinton; one brother, Roy A Farmer of Greenwood, and a number of grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the Lebanon church, conducted by the Rev. O. A. Jeffcoat and the Rev. W. H. Beiers. Interment will be in the cemetery.
The following nephews will serve as active pallbearers: Wallace Hill, Claibourne Farmer, Claude Farmer, Edgar Farmer, Roy Farmer, Claude willard, W. R. Wise and Jerome Farmer.
