Mrs. Rose Marie Adamson, 82, of Joplin, Missouri, daughter of the late Robert Matthew and Myrtle May (Stark) Leach was born on August 10, 1930 in Bellville, Missouri.

She departed this life on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center after months of declining health.

Mr. Eugene Junior Adamson, 85, of Joplin, Missouri, son of the late Ira H. and Lettie (Cutbirth) Adamson was born on May 2, 1927 in Purdy, Missouri.

He departed this life on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at his residence.

On August 19, 1945 Eugene and Rose were united in marriage and to this union a daughter and two sons were born.

They both were lifelong residence of Joplin, Missouri.

Eugene retired from the City of Joplin after thirty-eight years of loyal service.

Besides being a devoted homemaker, Rose was employed by Miller's Manufacturing as a seamstress for twenty-eight years before her retirement.

He enjoyed hunting, storytelling and was an avid trader.

Rose enjoyed sewing, cooking, craft projects and gardening.

They both loved and found great joy in spending time with their family.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings, Ernie, Clyde, Harrison, Irene, Don, Lottie, Esena and Esko.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Viola Jean Schmidt.

They are survived by one daughter, Rose Ann Pearson and husband, H.R., of Kimberling City, Missouri; two sons, Robert E. "Geno" Adamson and wife, Kaye, of Seneca, Missouri and Jerry Lee Adamson and wife, Sally, of Neosho, Missouri; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. & Mrs. Adamson are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in the chapel of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri with Pastor Jeff Martin officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Joplin.

Those honoring their lives by serving as pallbearers are David Adamson, Charles Adamson, Ray Jenkins, Rob Adamson, Jeff Adamson and Roman Koziol.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service in the mortuary chapel.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary, Joplin.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Joplin.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
